Spring Cleaning {Parent's Refrigerator}

Hey I have awesome post for all you lovelies tonight! I had been planning on cleaning out and organizing my parents fridge for awhile, and I finally did it today!

I have an wonderful tutorial for you below with tips and tricks!

Enjoy your start of Spring Cleaning!

I started about 1 pm this afternoon, after eating lunch and a chocolate bar {don't worry, it was Dark Chocolate, therefore I am being healthy}

This is what it looked like before I took anything out.

I took EVERYTHING out. Mind you, my parents are not so hot with throwing food away and they shove more food than is necessary in their fridge, so I removed A LOT of food. I wish I had a picture of this, but I did not take one. I threw away and poured out all the bad and expired food and then removed all the shelves.
I put all the shelves and drawers in the bathtub and ran hot water and poured in dish soap, laundry detergent and all-purpose cleaner. All 3 cleaners are Natural & Organic & from Whole Foods.

I left the bottom shelf in to keep the most perishable items cold while I went to get storage bins from Dollar General. I spent about $40 on several different sized bins, but I will be taking a few back that I didn't use . {I also bought a $3 picture frame for Rosie.}

This is what happened right after I got back from Dollar General.

In the middle of being cleaned and organized!

When I got back, I washed and rinsed the shelves and left them to dry.

I don't have a picture of all the bins I used, but I only ended up having space for 7 of them, including one to keep lettuce in.

After I wiped down the interior and door of the fridge, I places the main shelves in and back on the door. Then I took the big shelf to the tub to soak.
I wiped off all the bottoms of the containers BEFORE putting them back in. I had to play around with the height of the shelves so that I could put the bins in certain spots.

After retrieving the big shelf, I put away the rest of the food into the drawers, like fruits, veggies and meat. There were a few duplicate sauce containers so I poured them into 1 container. We ended up using a few of the sauce containers that only had a little left in them at dinner.

When all was said and done, the fridge REEKED with organization and simplicity. There were SO many partial loves of bread that made the bread bin overflowing, but they will use them up now that they know what they have and where it is at. I finished around 6 pm. I worked on this project for 5 hours! But it was totally worth it, to see the fridge in better condition than it's been since they bought it.

Rosetta watching the snow fall.

I did this project for them {mostly my mom} because she suffers from Planter Fasciitis and cannot stand. I did not ask for any payment, only that my mom watch Rosie while I cleaned. Luckily, Rosie basically slept the whole time. I did not let my mom see the fridge until it was all done, because she had been skeptical of my methods. However, she seemed very exited when she saw the finished work.

I stayed over for dinner. Right before I sat down to eat, I noticed that there were some items out of place in the fridge. I just hope that they keep it clean and organized and don't over stuff it again. It better stay clean or this red head will get mad!

I guess I will perform organization maintenance checks on it when I visit. So that will be a least once a week.

Here is another before & after just for good measure.

and a list of where everything is placed

An early start to Spring Cleaning! What are your Spring Cleaning plans?
I think this is a good start!

Have a good night and sweet dreams!

Miss Maully's March Madness {Musings Pt. 3}

So I am 100% free from work this weekend which means that I will be working on my first few pieces of furniture. I went to check some out yesterday, but couldn't fit them in my car. So, I'll be going Friday evening or Saturday day. I am WAY to exited for my business to get its gears rolling!

I will post pictures! But don't forget that you can follow Refab Rehab's news on Tumblr and check out videos on Refab Rehab's YouTube Channel.
Remember: baby steps!

Ok so on to my exiting news for the day!

My Izzy Bee pendant & necklace

I posted about Izzy Bee yesterday.
{Speaking of bees, please pay your regrets to Izzy Bee's family. Izzy was a 9 month old baby girl that grew her angel wings earlier this month due to a rare form of mitochondrial disease. You can visit her Facebook Page here and read about her and her family. RIP Izzy, you will be forever missed! I totally bawled when I read about Izzy's passing. I had been following her on Facebook for awhile and it took me by surprise. I am still so sad because I felt like I got to know her. I ordered the Izzy Bee pendant off her FB page and still need to order the Team Izzy bracelets and T-shirt. I miss her and a so blessed to have a healthy and happy baby.}

I did not order the chain online, I just bought the pendant and today I went out and bought a chain. I will wear it always.

I applied to be an Admin on a Facebook Page last night and I found out early this morning that I was accepted! Visit Mommies&Daddies-Corner on Facebook and "like" it please! This is a really exiting opportunity for me. When I told my mother about it her response was, "so you are working but not getting paid?" Oh mother, you SO do not understand the technology of today's world. My momma does not even HAVE a Facebook, though I keep trying to get her to get one so she can see all of the pictures of Rosie that I post and like all my FB Pages.
I woke up at 5 am this morning with Jake holding his palm to his head. The poor baby boy {yes I call him baby boy. I also call my cat baby boy lol} had a NASTY injury that he sustained at work last night. Something had been improperly placed in the trailer he was unloading and it fell and hit him on the head! So Momma Maully played Nurse Maully and helped him clean it up. Thankfully he is OK! I took Rosetta to Grandma's house this morning before work so he could rest today. Here is a picture of the cut.

&& here are just some fun pics to end my post with

Rosetta grabbing her toes, no wonder her nickname is Toes!

I am just so BLESSED every single day. I love my baby girl more than anything in this whole world. I love my boyfriend SO SO SO much. He is a fantastic father! I have a wonderful family & extended family. I love my momma and am so grateful to have her by my side.

Yes, I have my bad days. I just had one today.
But the positives totally outweigh the negatives and I would't want my life any other way. I have met so many different people and had so many interesting and learning experiences.
Life has a lot in store for me. The future is sparkling with possibilities.

Miss Maully's March Madness {Musings}

It's been a crazy few weeks! I kept putting off the next post for the Featured Fans Interview because the last one took me so long to edit! {Was that an excuse?...JUST SAY NO!}
I'll do a LIFE update and then post the next Featured Fans Interview Q's this weekend. Check back then for more mommy time!

With it being tax season and all, I have been able to check MANY things off my to-do list leaving me feeling very accomplished. However, usually when I cross one off, two more pop up.

Currently, my most important things to get done are as follows:

1. Get my business products together by the end of the month. This involves buying a few pieces of furniture and up-cycling them to sell in my store, Refab Rehab. Well actually, the items will be available for sale in my college's bookstore for new thing they are doing where students can get their businesses started. I am SO exited! =)

2. Get my business website up and running and order some business cards, but before that I have to re-design my logo... that's like 3 things isn't it?

{It's all about the business right now!} & Rosie of course!

3. I'm on the lookout for a Nanny position. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a job where I can take Rosetta with me to work and not leave her at home with her extremely tired daddy! {Remember: He works nights and goes to bed shortly before I leave for work, watching Rosie all day with little to NO sleep!}

4. Hopping on the Frugal Living bandwagon. My goal is to cut our spending down by A LOT by DIY-ing everyday items. Making our own hand soap, shampoo, body wash and conditioner.
I am also working on Meal Planning, couponing, shopping thrifty, freelance work, composing the Family Binder {Blog Series is still in progress}, working on my business, webpage, Made by Maully products, my blog, my FB pages, reading, cleaning, working, school, crafts, book club, dieting & exercising...and more. I mean, I love being busy and all but DAMN I am one busy lady! I love it though. Baby steps scha-mecks.

“Being busy is better than being bored. Bored left a long time ago. Busy is always around for me. ”
― Tabitha Robin

I always place Rosetta first. That is one of the reason's why I am so busy, is that her care and well-being supersedes any semi-important to somewhat important to Momma's free time important.

I definitely got off track. Anyway, the business is the most important thing right now. Hopefully I will be picking up the furniture this weekend and starting to up-cycle! I can't wait! Anywhoo...my business website is:

...and it is under construction because I have to have it looking perfect before I can publish it!

Here are some pics to end the post with. Enjoy your evening ladies!

Rosetta's Roses Shadow box. Both her's and mine from the hospital and her baby shower.

Rosetta graduated from her co-sleeper to her crib the other night with no problems. The theme is Raspberry Jungle.

Cutie-pie in her Bumbo!

Featured Fans {5 Interviews~Holly}

Hello Lovelies!  I know, I know, it's been awhile. I think it may be the way it is...however, doesn't that mean that you will anticipate my posts more? I think so! So on top of working on starting my business, creating product for my business, researching for my business, working, talking care of Baby Girl, Facebooking and school work, designing Family Binder Printabels, reading email's, doing more research, playing with Baby Girl, working some more...oh did I repeat that?

Things have been a little crazy over here with the Moore family. Plans to get a puppy, move, switch up jobs, and a lot more have been going on! Plus, we got a Winter's worth of snow in less than a week.
Baby Girl has started flicking her bottom lip across the top of her gums, making new mouth movements, grasping her pants with her hands and crossing her legs when she is laying down. She is also starting to stare down her feet, like she just wants to gnaw on them.

I reached out to several of my friends for a giveaway/contest to win a FREE Customized Photo Collage Poster of their LO. I'm taking a few days break from Project: Family Binder to bring you...The Featured Fans Interviews!

I'll start with the first interview by my old friend Holly. We mommas go way back to our teenage years where we had lots of fun {and got into loads of trouble too}. She has a beautiful daughter that just turned 1, and another baby girl on the way!

Read her interview below!

What is your name?
Holly

What are your children’s names and ages?
Zoey Dawn, 1 year. Fetus, 20 weeks

Do you work? Where?
No, I'm a SAHM and a full time student.

What do you like to do in your free time?
 I like to go out with friends, read, meditate, work out and write.

What is your favorite thing about being a mommy?
{She said this was a really tough one}
 There is something about when I go to pick my daughter up after I get off school or after I get home from a night out with friends, my little girl squeals and runs into my arms to cuddle and give me kisses. It's then I know that she feels safe and protected and loved in my arms, and there is nothing better than that.

Do you have any advice for new mommy’s out there?
Relax and rest when you can, but enjoy every second that slips by.

What was your reaction when you found out you were pregnant?
Absolute fear.

What is the hardest obstacle you have had to overcome in being a young mommy?
Giving up sleep. I wish that I had "lived" a little more so that I could have more experience and wisdom to pass to my kids in their times of need.

What activities/day trips/crafts are you looking forward to doing with your LO?
Taking them to swim in the ocean, see the mountains and going fishing.

What is your favorite recipe?
 {She doesn't currently have one, maybe you can help her out in the comments below!!}

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
Where I never thought i'd see myself, working a job in healthcare, living in the burbs and going home to my babes.

Would you like to add anything else?
 This was a fun thing to do and I had never really thought about my favorite thing about being a mom so that was interesting to think about!

What do you think about Holly's interview? She has some great ideas for her LO's and a wonderful future planned.
Let her know how she's doing in the comments!

Alright I'm going to go finish my beer and play around on the computer.
{Rosie is sleeping soundly.}

Goodnight all! Hope you enjoyed the new Feature!
