January & February Project: Family Binder {Calendar & Daily Page}

Hi how is everyone tonight? Today was the BF's birthday! Grandma watched the little Rose while we went to dinner at Bd's Mongolian BBQ. I've had the last two days off work {What a blessing} and have to go back tomorrow! I got a lot accomplished this weekend. {I'm serious} I moved the rest of all my crap {furniture and clothes and such} from my OLD apt back to Jake's. And do you know what was included? The entertainment center that I'm DIY'ing into a craft corner/center. I need somewhere to store all my tissue paper, markers and scrapbook paper. {I am so freaking exited!} I even paid my old roommate $30 bucks to take it. It will be so much easier to use the craft center than the 2 drawers and desk that it is all strew over at the moment. Have you ever tried to stay organized with a 2 month old? That is why I am on a quest for organization {and time}. I don't know which one I need MORE of!
Ok, enough of my ramblings. Here you go!

Step 3: The calendar page comes before the Daily Pages, but any printable or binder calender will do. I use a wall hanging calendar, so I don't know quite yet what I will use the Family Binder calendar for, but I'm sure it will come in handy.

And onward to the Daily Pages-
These excite me so much! =) They turned out b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l, if I may say so myself. LOVE LOVE LOVE this project so far.

What do you think? Would you want to to use these for yourself? Is the tutorial helping?

I absolutely ADORE making these binder inserts.

IF only I could do this for a living...

Let me know what you think below! I would love to hear your thoughts on this project!

What I'm Loving Right Now {Fashion}

Um yes please! So loving vintage swimsuits,
especially with polka dots!
Ok, so I'm not into all the latest Runway trends. Honestly I wonder who the hell wears those things and If I wanted to, do they even have a size for AVERAGE women?
 I would describe my style as comfy, laid-back and chic. I love the professional business wear look, hanging out in jeans and a t-shirt or lounging in sweats & a hoodie. I incorporate little accessories like homemade hats, handmade button earrings, scarves, pins and hairstyles. These are a few things I'm loving right now.
 For a more complete visual experience, visit My Style on Pinterest.

My new pants for work. On sale at Sears for $11.
Super comfy but still flattering.
This is the one I want! How freaking adorable is that?
Get one for yourself here.

I really love the ease of Nexplanon.
Being able to feel it under my skin is a little
weird, but I won't forget to take any pills!

This Winter, I'm sporting these hand-knitted hats made by Rosie's Great-Grandma. They are super cute and came in many colors. She made a ton of ones for Rosie in all sizes, so she's set for life!

NOT PICTURED: My new obsession---JEGGINGS! I'm a little late to the game on this one I think, but oh how comfy!!

January & February Project: Family Binder {Sections Page}

Step 2: Create a "Sections" page (or pages) so that you know what is in each category.

I definitely won't use all of these categories right away but I wanted them there as a reference so I know what printables I will be making. I'm not even sure I want to use all of them! I working down the list and I'm only on the "Daily" section. I edited what I had originally created because I liked this look wayyy better. I wish I kept the original to compare. There is quite a bit of negative space, so maybe I'll add a few pics later on.

What do you think so far?

January & February Project: Family Binder {Cover Page}

My first post in the Project: Family Binder series!

Step 1: Create a cover for your binder. Make sure you purchase a binder first. I would recommend one you can  put your cover in the top sleeve. Then, you can put pictures in the back sleeve.

I created this cover in word, isn't it cute? I edited the fonts and pictures to my liking and downloaded the chevron picture online. I love how simple and put-together it looks. I was extra proud when I created it as a PDF and then used the snippet tool to make it a picture. From our budget in Excel to Designing in Word i'm sure learning cool new tricks!
Sorry it's not a printable, it's just for show!

Your Sunday's Are My Monday's

If you are my age and a girl, I'm sure you remember Mean Girls? I remember. I watched that movie every day for a whole month (maybe more) when I was 13. Looky what I just found via Pinterest!

Oh my goodness I want this so bad!

Gotcha, you just read it in Karen's voice right?

I don't understand why they made Mean Girls 2. I never watched it and didn't want to. How do you make a sequel with none of the original characters?
I just have to say, Tina Fey is freaking hilarious.

Baby Brains & Learning Games

So I've been trying to be creative in Rosetta's brain development and early learning. We have the 125 Brain Games for Babies book by Jackie Silberg. It has great game ideas but I wanted to try something different. Walking around the house and narrating the tour gets a little boring after awhile. If I'm really tired, I want a game I can play easily without doing a whole house tour!

125 Brain Games for Babies book by Jackie Silberg

I just got my computer back from being fixed...Again...and now the sound doesn't work.
=( Seems like when one problem is fixed another one arises. Anyway,  I You-tubed videos for babies brain development and learning. Rosetta was really interested in the black and white ones. When she started crying, I showed her a calming video and she stopped crying! Great idea for something new to play with your baby! Would be even better with music. I just played her swing music...because that is ALL I had! I really really REALLY love the  Xbox music. We created a playlist of Rock-a-bye Baby songs (LOVE LOVE LOVE) and it was just so adorable. Alas, we had to cut it out of our budget. I will download the songs when I get my sound back up and runnin'!
Here is the first one we watched together called Wee See Collection One.

Here is Wee See Collection Two.

This was the calming video.

Just do some YouTube searches for different videos depending on the age of your little one.
Happy Learning!
