Plantar Fasciitis Awareness

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. This tissue is called the plantar fascia. It connects the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the foot. It is extremely painful and be debilitating.

I created this page and Plantar Fasciitis Awareness in honor of my mother who has suffered
from PF for the past 3 years. She cannot stand and has to sit down and put her feet up all the time. She cannot do things she used to do and she has trouble doing small everyday things like driving. She has to set cruise control when she drives or else it bothers her feet. She has to sit down in odd places or find a chair so that her feet won't hurt. She has almost healed them up a couple times, but they go back to being really bad. She has tried pretty much everything with the exception of injections and surgery, and acupuncture. She has trouble watching her granddaughter who is 5 months old. She can't do yard work, go shopping, stand in lines, drive, stand to clean, stand to do dishes, stand to cook and much more.

This page is dedicated to all those suffering from PF or know someone that is. It is a horrible condition with no cure, but we will find one!
